The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By those (angels) who pull out (the souls of the disbelievers and the wicked) with great violence; 1 By those (angels) who gently take out (the souls of the believers); 2 And by those who float in space, 3 and vie with the others (in carrying out their Lord's behests); 4 And those who govern the event, 5 On the Day the blast [of the Horn] will convulse [creation], 6 and will be followed by the second one, 7 On that Day will [men's] hearts be throbbing, 8 Eyes be lowered in submission. 9 They say, "What? shall we be brought back to life, 10 after we have become bones and dust?" 11 They will say: 'Then we are returned lost' 12 It will only be a single blast, 13 And suddenly they will be [alert] upon the earth's surface. 14 Has Moses' story reached you? 15 When his Lord called to him in the sacred valley of Tuwa, 16 saying, "Go to the Pharaoh. He has transgressed beyond all bounds. 17 And say, "Hast thou the will to purify thyself; 18 And I will guide you to your Lord so that you should fear. 19 So Moosa showed him a magnificent sign. 20 but he denied it and refused [the faith]. 21 Then he turned his back, striving hard (against Allah). 22 Then he collected (his men) and made a proclamation, 23 Saying: "I am your lord, most high", 24 you pay attention 25 Verily herein is lesson for him who feareth. 26
