[O Men!] Are you more difficult to create than the heaven which He has built, 27 He hath raised the height thereof and perfected it. 28 He has made its nights dark and its days bright. 29 And the earth, moreover, hath He extended (to a wide expanse); 30 And brought forth therefrom its water and its pasture; 31 and the mountains He set firm, 32 [all this] as a means of livelihood for you and your animals. 33 When the great calamity comes, 34 The day on which man shall recollect what he strove after, 35 And Hell made visible to him who can see, 36 then he who transgressed 37 And prefers the life of this world, 38 surely, Hell will be their refuge. 39 But as for he who feared the position of his Lord and prevented the soul from [unlawful] inclination, 40 Paradise will be the dwelling. 41 They ask you, [O Muhammad], about the Hour: when is its arrival? 42 What concern do you have regarding its explanation? 43 Unto thy Lord belongeth (knowledge of) the term thereof. 44 You are only a warner to him who has a fear of it. 45 On the Day when they behold it, [it will seem to them] as if they had tarried [in this world] no longer than one evening or [one night, ending with] its morn! 46
