He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ HE FROWNED and turned away 1 from a blind man who had come up to him. 2 You never know. Perhaps he wanted to purify himself, 3 Or become reminded so that the reminder should profit him? 4 As for him who was indifferent, 5 Unto him thou payest regard. 6 though you are not to blame if he would not cleanse himself. 7 As for the one who comes to you earnestly (striving for guidance). 8 and in awe [of God] 9 Him thou neglectest! 10 Nay, (do not do like this), indeed it (these Verses of this Quran) are an admonition, 11 and whosoever wills, shall remember it. 12 (This Quran) is also recorded in honorable books, 13 lofty and pure, 14 (Set down) by scribes 15 Noble and righteous. 16 [But only too often] man destroys himself: how stubbornly does he deny the truth! 17 From what thing did He create him? 18 From Nutfah (male and female semen drops) He created him, and then set him in due proportion; 19 Then (as for) the way-- He has made it easy (for him) 20 and in the end He causes him to die and brings him to the grave; 21 then, He will raise him when He wills. 22 Certainly, he has not duly fulfilled His commands. 23 Let the human being think about (how We produce) his food. 24 That We pour down the water, pouring (it) down in abundance, 25 then We split the earth in fissures 26 And cause the grain to grow therein 27 together with grapes and vegetables, 28 and olive trees and date-palms, 29 and gardens dense with foliage, 30 And fruits and Abba (herbage, etc.), 31 an enjoyment for you and your flocks. 32 AND SO, when the piercing call [of resurrection] is heard 33 That Day shall a man flee from his own brother, 34 And from his mother and his father, 35 his wife and his sons: 36 for on that day everyone will be completely engrossed in his own concerns. 37 [Some] faces, that Day, will be bright - 38 and be cheerful and joyous. 39 And many a face will be covered with dust on that day. 40 Veiled in darkness, 41 those -- they are the unbelievers, the libertines. 42
God Almighty has spoken the truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
