He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ (The Prophet) frowned and turned away, 1 Because the blind man had come in his august presence. 2 But what could tell thee but that perchance he might grow (in spiritual understanding)?- 3 or take heed and derive benefit from [Our] warning? 4 As for him who thinks himself self-sufficient, 5 So you are after him! 6 And no blame is on you if he would not purify himself 7 but as for him who came unto thee full of eagerness 8 and in awe of God 9 Of him you are neglectful and divert your attention to another, 10 Nay! surely it is an admonishment. 11 So whosoever willeth - let him be admonished therewlth. 12 (This Quran) is also recorded in honorable books, 13 Exalted, purified, 14 by the hands of scribes 15 Noble and pious. 16 Perish man! how ungrateful he is! 17 From what did He create him? 18 Of a drop of seed. He created him and formed him according to a measure. 19 Then (as for) the way-- He has made it easy (for him) 20 Then He caused him to die and made him to be buried. 21 Then, when He will, He bringeth him again to life. 22 Nay, but [man] has never yet fulfilled what He has enjoined upon him! 23 Let the human being think about (how We produce) his food. 24 We send down abundant water, 25 and split the earth, splitting, 26 And We cause therein the grain to grow, 27 together with grapes and vegetables, 28 And Olives and Dates, 29 And gardens of dense shrubbery 30 And fruits and Abba (herbage, etc.), 31 In order to benefit you and your cattle. 32 But when the great calamity comes 33 On the Day whereon a man shall flee from his brother, 34 and his mother and his father; 35 and his consort and his children; 36 on that Day every man among them will have enough concern of his own -- 37 Many faces will that day be bright, 38 Laughing, rejoicing. 39 but others will be gloomy 40 o'erspread with darkness -- 41 Those, they are the unbelievers, the immoral. 42
True are the words of God the Almighty.

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
