The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
(On the day) when the sun is made to cease shining, 1 And when the stars fall down. 2 and the mountains have been taken, 3 The ten-month pregnant female camels are abandoned, 4 when the savage beasts shall be brought together, 5 And when the seas shall become as blazing Fire or shall overflow; 6 When souls are reunited (with the bodies) 7 and when the female infant buried alive is asked 8 for what crime she was slain, 9 And when the pages are laid open, 10 The curtain drawn back from the skies, 11 And when Hell-fire shall be kindled to fierce ablaze. 12 And when Paradise shall be brought near, 13 then every soul will discover the consequence of its deeds. 14 Rather, I swear by the returning 15 Go straight, or hide; 16 And by the night as it closes in 17 And by the dawn when it breathes 18 Most surely it is the Word of an honored messenger, 19 endowed with power and held in honour by the Lord of the Throne -- 20 Obeyed and worthy there of trust. 21 Your Companion is not mad, 22 He certainly saw him (Gabriel) high up on the horizon in his original form 23 he is not grudging of the Unseen. 24 Nor is this the word of a stoned satan. 25 Whither then go ye? 26 This is merely a reminder to all mankind; 27 for everyone of you who wishes to follow the Straight Way; 28 but will you shall not, unless God wills, the Lord of all Being. 29
Almighty God's Truth.
