The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
WHEN THE SUN is shrouded in darkness, 1 when the stars are thrown down, 2 And when the mountains shall made to pass away; 3 when ten-month pregnant camels are left untended, 4 And when wild animals are herded together. 5 when the seas shall be set boiling, 6 When souls are reunited (with the bodies) 7 when the buried infant shall be asked 8 For what crime she was put to death; 9 And when the pages are laid open, 10 The curtain drawn back from the skies, 11 when Hell shall be set blazing, 12 And when Paradise shall be brought near, 13 A soul will [then] know what it has brought [with it]. 14 BUT NAY! I call to witness the revolving stars, 15 the planets that run their course and set, 16 And by the night when it departeth, 17 And the morning when it brightens, 18 That this is indeed the word of an honoured Messenger, 19 who is honored in the presence of the Lord of the Throne, 20 The one who is obeyed, and trustworthy. (Other angels obey angel Jibreel). 21 Your Companion is not mad, 22 And indeed he saw him on the clear horizon. (Prophet Mohammed saw Angel Jibreel in his true shape peace and blessings be upon them). 23 he is not grudging of the Unseen. 24 The Quran is not the word of condemned satan. 25 Where then will you go? 26 This is merely a reminder to all mankind; 27 For the one among you who wishes to become upright. 28 but you shall not, unless Allah wills, the Lord of all the Worlds. 29
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
