The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
When the sun is overthrown, 1 when the stars shall be thrown down, 2 When the mountains vanish (like a mirage); 3 the young barren camels are abandoned, 4 when the savage beasts are gathered 5 when the seas shall be set boiling, 6 when the souls are divided into different classes, 7 And when the girl buried alive shall be asked: 8 For what crime she was put to death; 9 and when the scrolls of (men's) deeds shall be unfolded, 10 And when the heaven shall be stripped off and taken away from its place; 11 And when the Scorch shall be made to blaze, 12 when Paradise is brought close: 13 (Then) every soul will know what it hath made ready. 14 Oh, but I call to witness the planets, 15 The stars which rise and set, 16 by the night swarming, 17 And the Dawn as it breathes away the darkness;- 18 That this is indeed the word of an honoured Messenger, 19 of power, given a rank by the Owner of the Throne 20 (One) to be obeyed, and trustworthy; 21 Your companion (Muhammad) does not suffer from any mental illness 22 And indeed he (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) saw him [Jibrael (Gabriel)] in the clear horizon (towards the east). 23 And Muhammad is not a withholder of [knowledge of] the unseen. 24 And the Qur’an is not the recitation of Satan the outcast. 25 When whither go ye? 26 It is naught but a reminder for the nations, 27 For him among you who pleases to go straight. 28 And you do not will except that Allah wills - Lord of the worlds. 29
