Al-Takweer
The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
When the sun shall be folded up, 1 And when the stars shall dart down, 2 And when the hills are moved, 3 And when milch camels roam abandoned. 4 And when wild animals are herded together. 5 the oceans are brought to a boil, 6 And when souls are reunited, 7 And the little girl buried alive is asked 8 For what crime she was killed; 9 when the records of men's deeds are laid open, 10 when heaven is stripped, 11 and when Hell is set ablaze, 12 And when Paradise is brought near. 13 (Then) every soul will know what it had prepared (for itself). 14 So by oath of those that revolve. (The planets.) 15 the runners, the sinkers, 16 And the Night as it dissipates; 17 and the morning when it extends, 18 that the Quran is the word of the honorable angelic, mighty Messenger 19 The mighty, the honoured in the presence of the Lord of the Throne. 20 obeyed, moreover trusty. 21 Your companion (Muhammad) does not suffer from any mental illness 22 he indeed saw the message-bearer on the clear horizon; 23 And this Prophet is not miserly upon the hidden. (Allah gave the knowledge of the hidden to the Holy Prophet – peace and blessings be upon him.) 24 The Quran is not the word of condemned satan. 25 Where to are you then heading? 26 It is naught but a reminder for the nations, 27 To whomsoever among you who wills to walk straight, 28 but your wishing will not avail unless Allah, the Lord of the Universe, so wishes. 29
