Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the sky is split, 1 When the planets are dispersed, 2 and when the seas burst beyond their bounds, 3 And when the graves are laid open, 4 Every soul shall know what it has sent before and held back. 5 O mankind, what has deceived you concerning your Lord, the Generous, 6 Who created thee, then fashioned, then proportioned thee? 7 He moulded you into whatever shape He willed. 8 By no means! Aye, ye belie the Requital. 9 And indeed, [appointed] over you are keepers, 10 Illustrious scribes 11 Who know what you do. 12 Indeed, the righteous will be in pleasure, 13 and the wicked shall be in the Blazing Fire. 14 Roasted they shall be therein on the Day of Requital. 15 and then shall never come out of it. 16 And what will explain to thee what the Day of Judgment is? 17 Then, what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? 18 The day on which no soul shall control anything for (another) soul; and the command on that day shall be entirely Allah's. 19
