Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ When the heaven becomes cleft asunder, 1 And when the stars have fallen and scattered; 2 When the oceans begin to flow, 3 And when the graves are turned upside down (and they bring out their contents) 4 then everyone will know what he has sent ahead, and what he has left behind. 5 O man! What has made you careless concerning your Lord, the Most Generous? 6 Who created thee, then fashioned, then proportioned thee? 7 In whatever Form He wills, does He put thee together. 8 Nay, [O men,] but you [are lured away from God whenever you are tempted to] give the lie to [God's] Judgment! 9 Lo! there are above you guardians, 10 noble scribes 11 They know (and understand) all that ye do. 12 Surely the pious shall be in bliss, 13 whereas, behold, the wicked will indeed be in a blazing fire 14 They will [enter to] burn therein on the Day of Recompense, 15 and then shall never come out of it. 16 And what do you know of what sort is the Day of Justice! 17 Again, what will convey unto thee what the Day of Judgment is! 18 It is a Day whereon no soul shall own aught of power for any soul; and the command on that Day will be Allah's. 19
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
