Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ When the sky breaks apart 1 And when the stars shall be scattered, 2 And when the oceans are swept away. 3 when the graves are overturned, 4 then everyone will know what he has sent ahead, and what he has left behind. 5 O man! What is it that lures you away from your bountiful Sustainer, 6 Who created you then formed your symmetry, then gave you right proportion, 7 in whatever composition He wanted. 8 Yet you deny the Last Judgement. 9 you do so the while there are watchers over you; 10 Noble and recording; 11 They know whatsoever ye do. 12 The virtuous ones will live in bliss 13 whereas the wicked will be in Hell; 14 Roasted they shall be therein on the Day of Requital. 15 And thence they shall not be allowed to be absent. 16 What will make you realize what the Day of Judgement will be? 17 Then, what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? 18 (It will be) the Day when no soul shall have power (to do) aught for another: For the command, that Day, will be (wholly) with Allah. 19
