Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the heaven is cleft asunder, 1 And when the stars fall, scattering, 2 when the seas are made to burst forth, 3 And the sepulchres are overturned, 4 Every soul shall know what it has sent before and held back. 5 O man, what seduced you from your munificent Lord 6 Who created you, fashioned you perfectly, and gave you due proportion; 7 In whatever form He willed, He put you together. 8 Despite this, you deny the Day of Judgment, 9 you do so the while there are watchers over you; 10 The honourable recorders. 11 who know what you do. 12 Indeed the virtuous are in serenity. 13 And indeed, the wicked will be in Hellfire. 14 They will burn in it on the Day of Judgement, 15 And thence they shall not be allowed to be absent. 16 And what shall teach thee what is the Day of Doom? 17 Again, what do you know what the Day of Recompense is? 18 A day on which no soul hath power at all for any (other) soul. The (absolute) command on that day is Allah's. 19
