Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When the heaven splits open. 1 When the Stars are scattered; 2 When the Oceans are suffered to burst forth; 3 and when the graves are laid open: 4 Each soul shall know that which it sent afore and that which it left behind. 5 O man! What has seduced thee from thy Lord Most Beneficent?- 6 who created you, fashioned you and proportioned you, 7 In whatever shape He will He could surely have fashioned you. 8 Despite this, you deny the Day of Judgment, 9 Yet over you there are watchers, 10 Generous and recording, 11 who know what you do. 12 Verily, the Abrar (pious and righteous) will be in delight (Paradise); 13 But the wicked, indeed they shall be in the Fiery Furnace, 14 Roasted they shall be therein on the Day of Requital. 15 and which they shall not [be able to] evade. 16 They will never be able to escape from it. Would that you knew what the Day of Judgment is! 17 Again would that you only knew how terrible it really is! 18 A day when no soul shall possess aught to succour another soul; that day the Command shall belong unto God. 19
