Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ When the heaven is split asunder, 1 When the Stars are scattered; 2 And when the seas are flowed out, 3 And when the Graves are turned upside down;- 4 (Then) a person will know what he has sent forward and (what he has) left behind (of good or bad deeds). 5 O man! what hath beguiled thee concerning thy Lord, the Bountiful, 6 who has created thee, and formed thee in accordance with what thou art meant' to be, and shaped thy nature in just proportions, 7 Shaping you into any form He pleased? 8 Rather, you belied the Recompense. 9 And yet, verily, there are ever-watchful forces over you, 10 Noble and recording; 11 They know whatever you do. 12 The virtuous ones will live in bliss 13 and the evil-doers will be in hell 14 roasting in it on the Day of Recompense 15 And they will not be able to keep away therefrom. 16 And what do you know – of what sort is the Day of Justice! 17 Again, what will convey unto thee what the Day of Judgment is! 18 It will be a Day when no human being shall be of the least avail to any other human being, God [alone] will hold command on that Day. 19
