Shattering (Al-Infitaar)

19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

۞ When the sky is split, 1 and when the stars are scattered; 2 the oceans are merged together, 3 and when graves are laid open, 4 A soul will know what it hath sent before (it) and what left behind. 5 O man! what hath beguiled thee concerning thy Lord, the Bountiful, 6 The One Who created you, then moulded you, then made you proper? 7 He moulded you into whatever shape He willed. 8 Even then you deny the Judgement. 9 yet there are over you watchers 10 noble scribes, 11 Who know (all) that ye do. 12 Lo! the righteous verily will be in delight. 13 And the Wicked - they will be in the Fire, 14 They shall enter it on the Day of Recompense 15 And will not be removed from it. 16 What do you know what the Day of Recompense is? 17 Again, what could let you know what the Day of Recompense is! 18 It will be a Day when no human being shall be of the least avail to any other human being, God [alone] will hold command on that Day. 19
