Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ When the heavens are rent asunder, 1 And when the stars shall be scattered, 2 When the oceans begin to flow, 3 And when the Graves are turned upside down;- 4 Every soul will come to know what it has sent ahead and what it left behind. 5 O human! What has deceived you concerning your Generous Lord 6 who created thee and shaped thee and wrought thee in symmetry 7 and set you in whatever form He pleased? 8 No! But you deny the Recompense. 9 but you should know that there are angelic guards 10 noble recorders, 11 Knowing all what you may do. 12 Verily, the Abrar (pious and righteous) will be in delight (Paradise); 13 And indeed the sinners are in hell. 14 Roasted they shall be therein on the Day of Requital. 15 And they will not be able to keep away therefrom. 16 And what shall make thee know whatsoever the Day of Requital is? 17 Then, what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? 18 It will be a Day when no human being shall be of the least avail to any other human being, God [alone] will hold command on that Day. 19
