Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ When the heavens are rent asunder, 1 And the stars dispersed, 2 And when the seas are burst forth (got dried up); 3 And when the graves are ransacked, 4 A soul will [then] know what it has put forth and kept back. 5 O man! what has beguiled you from your Lord, the Gracious one, 6 who created thee and shaped thee and wrought thee in symmetry 7 and set you in whatever form He pleased? 8 Nay, but ye deny the Judgment. 9 And most surely there are keepers over you 10 Generous and recording, 11 They know (and understand) all that ye do. 12 Indeed, the righteous will be in pleasure, 13 And verily, the Fujjar (the wicked, disbelievers, sinners and evil-doers) will be in the blazing Fire (Hell), 14 They shall enter it on the Day of Recompense 15 And never therefrom will they be absent. 16 What do you know what the Day of Recompense is? 17 Again, what could let you know what the Day of Recompense is! 18 It is the day when no soul will have power to do the least for a soul, and God's alone will be done. 19
