Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the sky is split, 1 the stars are dispersed, 2 and when the seas burst beyond their bounds, 3 and when the graves are laid open: 4 then everyone will know what he has sent ahead, and what he has left behind. 5 Human being, what evil has deceived you about your Gracious Lord, 6 Who created you, proportioned you, and balanced you? 7 in whatever form He pleased? 8 No! But you deny the Recompense. 9 you do so the while there are watchers over you; 10 noble recorders, 11 Who know what you do. 12 As for the Righteous, they will be in bliss; 13 And verily, the Fujjar (the wicked, disbelievers, sinners and evil-doers) will be in the blazing Fire (Hell), 14 They shall enter it on the Day of Recompense 15 and which they shall not [be able to] evade. 16 What do you know what the Day of Recompense is? 17 Again, what will make you know what the Day of Recompense is? 18 The day on which no soul shall control anything for (another) soul; and the command on that day shall be entirely Allah's. 19
