The Cheaters (Al-Mutaffifeen)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Woe to those that deal in fraud,- 1 Those who, when they have to receive by measure from men, exact full measure, 2 But when they have to give by measure or weight to men, give less than due. 3 Do they not think that they will be called to account?- 4 for a great Day, 5 The day on which men shall stand before the Lord of the worlds? 6 NAY, VERILY, the record of the wicked is indeed [set down] in a mode inescapable! 7 What could let you know what the Sijjeen is! 8 (There is) a Register (fully) inscribed. 9 Woe, that Day, to the deniers, 10 those who deny the Day of Judgement. 11 None belies it except every guilty sinner. 12 When Our Verses (of the Quran) are recited to him he says: "Tales of the ancients!" 13 Not at all – but rather their earnings have heaped rust upon their hearts. 14 No indeed! On that Day they will be screened off from seeing their Lord, 15 and then, behold, they shall enter the blazing fire 16 It will then be said, “This is what you used to deny.” 17 No indeed; the book of the pious is in Illiyun; 18 And what do you know what the Illiyoon are! 19 It is a Book inscribed, 20 The ones nearest to God will bring it to public. 21 Truly the Righteous will be in Bliss: 22 Reclining on couches, looking on. 23 You will recognize in their faces the brightness of bliss. 24 They will be given to drink [pure] wine [which was] sealed. 25 which have the fragrance of musk. This is the kind of place for which one should really aspire. 26 It (that wine) will be mixed with Tasnim. 27 A fountain from which drink they who are drawn near (to Allah). 28 The sinners indeed laughed at believers 29 when them passed them by winking at one another, 30 And when they returned to their own folk, they returned jesting; 31 And whenever they saw them, they would say, "Behold! These are the people truly astray!" 32 And they were not sent to be keepers over them. 33 Wherefore Today, those who believed at the infidels are laughing, 34 On high couches, gazing. 35 Surely the disbelievers are rewarded as they did. 36
