The Cheaters (Al-Mutaffifeen)
36 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Spider (Al-Ankaboot) before The Heifer (Al-Baqarah)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Woe unto the scrimpers: 1 who demand of other people full measure for themselves, 2 but when they measure or weigh for others, they reduce! 3 Do they not think that they will be resurrected 4 On a Great Day, 5 A Day when (all) mankind will stand before the Lord of the Worlds? 6 Indeed, the record of the disbelievers is in the lowest place, the Sijjeen. 7 And what will make you know what the Sijjin is? 8 it is a written record. 9 Woe, that Day, to the deniers, 10 who belied the Day of Recompense! 11 No one rejects it except the sinful transgressors 12 who, when Our verses are recited to him, says: “Mere tales of olden times!” 13 By no means! Aye! encrusted upon their hearts is that which they have been earning. 14 No indeed, on that Day they shall be veiled from their Lord. 15 Then lo! they verily will burn in hell, 16 Then it shall be said to them, 'This is that you cried lies to.' 17 But, the Book of the righteous is in the 'Illiyoon. 18 And what will explain to thee what 'Illiyun is? 19 The record is a sealed text. 20 which those angels closest to God will bear witness to. 21 Verily the pious will be in heaven, 22 seated on couches and gazing around in wonder. 23 You will find in their faces the brightness of bliss. 24 They will be served a drink of the finest sealed wine, 25 With a sealing of musk, which those who aspire for the best should desire, -- 26 a wine whose mixture is Tasnim, 27 A spring whereof drink those nearest to Allah. 28 Indeed the guilty used to laugh at the believers. 29 And whenever they passed by them, used to wink one to another (in mockery); 30 and, on returning to their people, boast about what they had done. 31 and when they saw them, they said [scornfully], "These men have surely gone astray," 32 And withal, they have no call to watch over [the beliefs of] others... 33 So today the believers are laughing at the unbelievers, 34 while reclining on couches and reviewing (the bounties given to them). 35 Are not the disbelievers paid for what they used to do? 36
God Almighty has spoken the truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
