The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the heaven breaks apart. 1 And has responded to its Lord and was obligated [to do so] 2 And when the earth is flattened out, 3 And hath cast out all that was in her, and is empty 4 obeying its Sustainer, as in truth it must: 5 O man, having striven hard towards your Lord, you shall meet Him: 6 Then, he who is given his Book in his right hand 7 His account shall presently be taken by an easy reckoning. 8 and they will return to their people, delighted 9 But as for him who is given his book behind his back, 10 He will invoke (his) destruction, 11 And he will enter a Blazing Fire. 12 He used to be happy with his own people; 13 He verily deemed that he would never return (unto Allah). 14 Yes! Verily, his Lord has been ever beholding him! 15 No! I swear by the twilight 16 by the night and what it covers, 17 and the moon, as it grows to its fullness: 18 you shall surely ride stage after stage. 19 What is the matter with them? Why do they not believe? 20 and when the Qur'an is recited to them, they do not prostrate themselves? ۩ 21 But those who have disbelieved deny, 22 And Allah knoweth best what they are hiding. 23 So give them tidings of a painful doom, 24 except the righteously striving believers, who will receive a never-ending reward. 25
