The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the heaven, holding mansions of the stars, 1 And the promised day, 2 by the witness and the witnessed, 3 THEY DESTROY [but] themselves, they who would ready a pit 4 with fire abounding in fuel, 5 When they sat by it (fire), 6 And they themselves are witnesses to what they were doing to the Muslims! 7 Against these they had no grudge except that they believed in Allah, the Most Mighty, the Most Praiseworthy, 8 to whom belongs the Kingdom of the heavens and earth. And Allah is the Witness of all things. 9 Indeed those who troubled the Muslim men and Muslim women, and then did not repent – for them is the punishment of hell, and for them is the punishment of fire. 10 [But,] verily, they who attain to faith and do righteous deeds shall [in the life to come] have gardens through which running waters flow - that triumph most great! 11 VERILY, thy Sustainer's grip is exceedingly strong! 12 Lo! He it is Who produceth, then reproduceth, 13 And He only is the Oft Forgiving, the Beloved of His bondmen. 14 Owner of the throne, the Glorious 15 Executor of His own will. 16 Has not there come to you the story of the hosts, 17 of Pharaoh and of Thamood? 18 And yet the Unbelievers (persist) in rejecting (the Truth)! 19 And Allah encompasses them on every side. 20 Nay, but this [divine writ which they reject] is a discourse sublime, 21 [Inscribed] in a Preserved Slate. 22
