Al-Taareq

The Comet (Al-Taareq)

17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful

By the heaven and the Morning Star 1 And what shall make thee know that which the night-comer is? 2 (It is) the piercing star. 3 There is no living being but there is a protector over it. 4 So man must consider from what he has been created. 5 He was created from a fluid, ejected, 6 Coming from between the back and the ribs. 7 Surely, He is Able to bring him back, 8 On the day when hidden thoughts shall be searched out. 9 Then he shall have no power nor any helper. 10 By the rotating heavens 11 And [by] the earth which cracks open, 12 this is indeed a Decisive Word, 13 It is not a thing for amusement. 14 Verily they are plotting a plot. 15 And I am planning a scheme. 16 So allow time for the disbelievers. Leave them awhile. 17
