The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
CONSIDER the heavens and that which comes in the night! 1 And what can make you know what is the night comer? 2 - The piercing Star! 3 That over each soul there is a guardian. 4 Let man consider what he was made of: 5 He was created from spurting fluid, 6 Proceeding from between the back-bone and the ribs, 7 Verily, (Allah) is Able to bring him back (to life)! 8 On the day when hidden things shall be made manifest, 9 Then will (man) have no power, nor any helper. 10 By the sky with its returning rain, 11 And the earth which splitteth (with the growth of trees and plants) 12 this (Qur'an) is surely a decisive Word, 13 It is no pleasantry. 14 Behold, they [who refuse to accept it] devise many a false argument [to disprove its truth]; 15 And I (too) will make a scheme. 16 so bear with those who deny the truth, and let them be for a little while. 17
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
