Al-Taareq

The Comet (Al-Taareq)

17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate

By oath of the heaven, and by oath of the nightly arriver. 1 what do you know what the night-visitor is? 2 It is the piercing star - 3 No soul is there but hath over it a watcher. 4 So man must consider from what he has been created. 5 He is created from a water dripping, 6 Coming from between the back and the ribs. 7 Indeed, Allah, to return him [to life], is Able. 8 The Day that (all) things secret will be tested, 9 he will have no power, nor anyone to help him. 10 By the heaven which returneth, 11 by earth splitting with verdure, 12 That this (Qur'an) is a decisive word 13 It is not a thing for amusement. 14 Indeed, they are planning a plan, 15 And I (too) am planning a plan. 16 So respite the unbelievers; delay with them awhile. 17

True are the words of God the Almighty.
