The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the heaven and the Morning Star 1 And what shall make thee know that which the night-comer is? 2 (It is) the piercing star. 3 There is not a soul that does not have a guardian over it. 4 Let man consider what he was made of: 5 He is created of water pouring forth, 6 issuing from between the loins [of man] and the pelvic arch [of woman]. 7 Most surely He is able to return him (to life). 8 The Day when secrets will be put on trial, 9 (Man) will have no power, and no helper. 10 By the heaven with its recurring cycle of rain, 11 And the earth which splits (with the growth of trees and plants), 12 this is indeed a Decisive Word, 13 And it is not a thing for amusement. 14 They are hatching up a plot, 15 and I am devising guile. 16 so bear with those who deny the truth, and let them be for a little while. 17
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
