The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By heaven and the night-star! 1 And what could make thee conceive what it is that comes in the night? 2 The piercing star! 3 There is no soul but has a protector over it. 4 So let man consider of what he was created; 5 he has been created out of a seminal fluid 6 emanating from between the loins and the ribs. 7 God has certainly power to bring him back (from the dead). 8 On the Day when man's deepest secrets shall be put to the test 9 and [man] will have neither strength nor helper! 10 By the heaven with its recurring cycle of rain, 11 by the earth cracking open with new growth. 12 Indeed, the Qur'an is a decisive statement, 13 and it is certainly not a jest. 14 They are cunningly devising, 15 And I plot a plot (against them). 16 Let, then, the deniers of the truth have their will: let them have their will for a little while. 17
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
End of Surah: The Comet (Al-Taareq). Sent down in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
