The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
CONSIDER the sky full of great constellations, 1 And by oath of the Promised Day. 2 by the witness and the witnessed, 3 Cursed were the companions of the trench 4 Of the fuel-fed fire, 5 When they were sitting at its edge. 6 fully conscious of what they are doing to the believers, 7 whom they hate for no other reason than that they believe in God, the Almighty, the One to whom all praise is due, 8 Him, Whose is the dominion of heavens and the earth. And Allah is over everything a Witness. 9 Those who persecute the believing men and believing women, and then do not repent, will surely suffer the punishment of Hell, and the torment of burning. 10 (But) for those who believe and do good works, for them there are Gardens underneath which rivers flow that is the Great Victory! 11 Indeed, the seizing of your Lord is severe. 12 Indeed, it is He who originates [creation] and repeats. 13 And He is the Oft-Forgiving, Full of Loving-Kindness, 14 Owner of the Throne, the Exalted. 15 the Executor of what He wills. 16 Did the story of the armies reach you? 17 of the Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 Yet the unbelievers still belie, 19 However, God encompassed their activities. 20 Nay, but it is a glorious Qur'an. 21 [Inscribed] in a Preserved Slate. 22
