Al-Taareq
The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the heaven, and the night-visitor, 1 Do you know what al-tariq is? 2 (It is) the piercing star. 3 [for] no human being has ever been left unguarded. 4 So man must consider from what he has been created. 5 He has been created from an ejected drop of fluid 6 issuing from between the backbone and the breastbone: 7 Most surely He is able to return him (to life). 8 upon the day when the secrets are tried, 9 he will have no power, nor anyone to help him. 10 By the rotating heavens 11 And by oath of the earth which flourishes with it. 12 Verily! This (the Quran) is the Word that separates (the truth from falsehood, and commands strict legal laws for mankind to cut the roots of evil). 13 It is not a thing for amusement. 14 Behold, they [who refuse to accept it] devise many a false argument [to disprove its truth]; 15 and I too am devising a guile. 16 So bear with unbelievers with patience, and give them respite for a while. 17
God the Almighty always says the truth.
