The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Exalt the Name of your Lord, the Highest, 1 Who creates, then makes complete, 2 And Who has measured (preordainments for each and everything even to be blessed or wretched); then guided (i.e. showed mankind the right as well as wrong paths, and guided the animals to pasture); 3 Who brought forth the pasture, 4 Then reduces them to rusty rubbish. 5 We shall make you recite and then you will not forget, 6 save what God wills; surely He knows what is spoken aloud and what is hidden. 7 And We shall ease thy way unto the state of ease. 8 Therefore remind, if the Reminder profits, 9 in mind will keep it he who stands in awe [of God,] 10 but the most wretched shall avoid it, 11 Who will enter the great Fire and made to taste its burning, 12 wherein they will neither live nor die. 13 Surely he will succeed who grows in goodness, 14 and remembers the Name of his Lord, so he prays. 15 However, (the disbelievers) prefer the worldly life 16 While the Hereafter is better and more enduring. 17 Lo! This is in the former scrolls. 18 the scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
