Al-A'alaa
The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ GLORIFY THE NAME of your Lord, most high, 1 Who createth, then disposeth; 2 Who determined and guided them, 3 who brings forth green pasture, 4 And then doth make it (but) swarthy stubble. 5 We shall enable thee to recite, and then thou shalt not forget, 6 except what Allah wills, surely, He knows all that is (spoken) aloud and what is hidden. 7 We shall ease thee unto the Easing. 8 Therefore give admonition in case the admonition profits (the hearer). 9 Those who fear will understand. 10 And the wretched shunneth it. 11 who will roast in the Great Fire, 12 in which he will neither die nor live therein. 13 Prosperous is he who has cleansed himself, 14 who remembers the name of his Lord and prays, shall indeed be successful. 15 But rather you prefer the life of this world! 16 Although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Indeed this is in the former scriptures. 18 The Books of Abraham and Moses. 19
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
