The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ Exalt the Name of your Lord, the Highest, 1 Who creates and proportions, 2 And Who has measured (preordainments for each and everything even to be blessed or wretched); then guided (i.e. showed mankind the right as well as wrong paths, and guided the animals to pasture); 3 It is He who has caused the grass to grow, 4 and then made it into a blackish straw. 5 We shall make thee read (O Muhammad) so that thou shalt not forget 6 except what Allah should wish. He knows all that is manifest and all that is hidden. 7 We shall make all your tasks easy. 8 So render good counsel if good counsel will avail. 9 Those who have fear of God will benefit 10 But the wretched one will avoid it - 11 He who shall roast into the Great Fire, 12 Then therein he shall neither live nor die. 13 He indeed shall be successful who purifies himself, 14 who remembers the name of his Lord and prays, shall indeed be successful. 15 No; but you prefer the present life, 16 Although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Surely, this is in the ancient Scrolls, 18 the revelations of Abraham and Moses. 19
