The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Exalt the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 Who created and proportioned 2 and who determines the nature [of all that exists,] and thereupon guides it [towards its fulfilment,] 3 And Who bringeth forth the pasturage, 4 Then maketh it to stubble dusky. 5 We shall make you recite (the Qur'an) so that you will not forget it, 6 Except what Allah should will. Indeed, He knows what is declared and what is hidden. 7 And We shall make easy for you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) the easy way (i.e. the doing of righteous deeds). 8 REMIND, THEN, [others of the truth, regardless of] whether this reminding [would seem to] be of use [or not]: 9 and he who fears shall remember, 10 And the most wicked will stay away from it. 11 He who shall roast into the Great Fire, 12 Then he will neither die in it, nor live. 13 He indeed shall be successful who purifies himself, 14 remembering his Lord's name and praying. 15 However, (the disbelievers) prefer the worldly life 16 Whereas the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Most surely this is in the earlier scriptures, 18 the Scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
