The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ EXTOL the limitless glory of thy Sustainer's name: [the glory of] the Al-Highest, 1 who creates [every thing,] and thereupon forms it in accordance with what it is meant to be, 2 Who determined and guided them, 3 and who brings forth herbage, 4 And then doth make it (but) swarthy stubble. 5 We shall make thee read (O Muhammad) so that thou shalt not forget 6 except what Allah wills, surely, He knows all that is (spoken) aloud and what is hidden. 7 We shall ease thee unto the Easing. 8 Therefore do remind, surely reminding does profit. 9 He who fears will mind, 10 but it will be ignored by the most unfortunate, 11 He who shall roast into the Great Fire, 12 Wherein he will neither die nor live. 13 He indeed shall be successful who purifies himself, 14 And mentions the name of his Lord and prays. 15 But ye prefer the life of the world 16 although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Surely, this is in the ancient Scrolls, 18 The Books of Abraham and Moses. 19
True are the words of God the Almighty.
