The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ EXTOL the limitless glory of thy Sustainer's name: [the glory of] the Al-Highest, 1 who has created and shaped, 2 who determined and guided, 3 And Who bringeth out the (green and luscious) pasture, 4 Then reduces them to rusty rubbish. 5 We shall enable thee to recite, and then thou shalt not forget, 6 Except what Allah wills; indeed He knows all the evident and all the concealed. 7 We shall take you slowly towards ease. 8 Remind, if the reminder can be of benefit. 9 in mind will keep it he who stands in awe [of God,] 10 But it will be avoided by the wretched, 11 Who will burn in the terrible Fire, 12 wherein he will neither die nor remain alive. 13 Prosperous is he who purifies himself, 14 And mentions the name of his Lord and prays. 15 But no, you prefer the life of the world, 16 But the Hereafter is better and more enduring. 17 Surely, this is in the ancient Scrolls, 18 The Books of Abraham and Moses. 19
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
