Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

By the morning brightness 1 and by the night when it covers the world with peace: 2 Your Lord (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) has neither forsaken you nor hated you. 3 What is to come is better for you than what has gone before; 4 And indeed your Lord will soon give you so much that you will be pleased. (Allah seeks to please the Holy Prophet – peace and blessings be upon him.) 5 Did He not find you an orphan and give [you] refuge? 6 And He found you unaware (of the Quran, its legal laws, and Prophethood, etc.) and guided you? 7 Did He not find you poor and enrich you? 8 Therefore, treat not the orphan with harshness, 9 and him that seeks [thy] help shalt thou never chide, 10 and proclaim the bounties of your Lord. 11

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
