Al-Duhaa
The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the Glorious Morning Light, 1 And by the night when it is still (or darkens); 2 Your Lord has not taken leave of you, [O Muhammad], nor has He detested [you]. 3 The reward in the next life will certainly be better for you than worldly gains. 4 Thy Lord shall give thee, and thou shalt be satisfied. 5 Did He not find you an orphan, so provided you shelter? 6 Did He not find thee wandering and direct (thee)? 7 And found you in need, so made you prosperous? 8 Therefore, as for the orphan, do not oppress (him). 9 And do not drive the beggar away, 10 And proclaim the Grace of your Lord (i.e. the Prophethood and all other Graces). 11
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
