The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the midday brightness 1 And by the night when it is stillest, 2 your Lord has not forsaken you, nor is He displeased with you, 3 And verily the Hereafter will be better for thee than the present. 4 Your Lord will soon grant you sufficient favors to please you. 5 Did He not find thee an orphan and protect (thee)? 6 And find you lost (that is, unrecognized by men) and guide (them to you)? 7 And He found thee in need, and made thee independent. 8 Wherefore as to the orphan, be thou not unto him overbearing. 9 And as to the beggar, chide thou him not. 10 And proclaim the Grace of your Lord (i.e. the Prophethood and all other Graces). 11
Almighty God's Truth.
