The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the forenoon (after sun-rise); 1 and the night when it grows still and dark. 2 Thy Guardian-Lord hath not forsaken thee, nor is He displeased. 3 And indeed the latter is better for you than the former. 4 Verily your Lord will soon give you so amply that you will be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and give you shelter? 6 Did He not find you wandering about and give you guidance? 7 And did He not find you in need and make you rich? 8 Therefor the orphan oppress not, 9 Therefor the beggar drive not away, 10 But as for the favor of your Lord, report [it]. 11
