The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By oath of the late morning, 1 And the night when it covers with darkness. 2 (Muhammad), your Lord has not abandoned you (by not sending you His revelation), nor is He displeased with you. 3 and the Hereafter will indeed be better for you than the present life; 4 Verily your Lord will soon give you so amply that you will be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find thee an orphan and give thee shelter (and care)? 6 Did He not find you perplexed, and show you the way? 7 Did He not find you in want, and make you free from want? 8 Therefore do not treat the orphan with harshness, 9 and him that seeks [thy] help shalt thou never chide, 10 And abundantly proclaim the favours of your Lord. 11
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
