Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
8 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa) before The Afternoon (Al-'Asr)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ (Muhammad), have We not comforted your heart, 1 And removed your burden 2 that had well-nigh broken your back? 3 Did We not exalt thy fame? 4 And behold, with every hardship comes ease: 5 Verily, with the hardship, there is relief (i.e. there is one hardship with two reliefs, so one hardship cannot overcome two reliefs). 6 So when thou art empty, labour, 7 And to your Lord (Alone) turn (all your intentions and hopes and) your invocations. 8
True are the words of God the Almighty.
