In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
Read! In the name of your Lord, who created: 1 created the human from a (blood) clot. 2 Proclaim! And thy Lord is Most Bountiful,- 3 Who taught (to write) with the pen 4 Hath taught man that which he knew not. 5 Nay, surely man transgresses; 6 because he thinks himself self-sufficient: 7 truly, all will return to your Lord. 8 Have you seen the one who prohibits 9 A bondman of Ours when he prayeth 10 What will happen if the praying person is rightly guided 11 Or he commandeth piety? 12 Do you see how he has denied the truth and turned away from it? 13 Knoweth he not that Allah doth see? 14 No indeed; surely, if he gives not over, We shall seize him by the forelock, 15 a lying, sinful forelock. 16 So let him call his associates, 17 and We too will call the stern and angry keepers of hell. 18 Nay, pay thou no heed to him, but prostrate thyself [before God] and draw close [unto Him]! ۩ 19
