The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
READ IN THE name of your Lord who created, 1 created man from a clot of congealed blood. 2 Read! And your Lord is the Most Generous, 3 Who hath taught mankind by the pen 4 The One Who taught man all what he did not know. 5 Nay! Verily, man does transgress all bounds (in disbelief and evil deed, etc.). 6 Because he sees himself self-sufficient. 7 truly, all will return to your Lord. 8 Have you seen the one who forbids 9 a servant of Ours from prayer? 10 Hast thou considered whether he is on the right way, 11 or if he commands others to maintain piety!? 12 Do you see how he has denied the truth and turned away from it? 13 Does he not know that Allah does see? 14 No indeed; surely, if he gives not over, We shall seize him by the forelock, 15 The lying, sinful forelock - 16 Then, let him call upon his council (of helpers), 17 We will call the angels of Hell. 18 No indeed; do thou not obey him, and bow thyself, and draw nigh. ۩ 19
God the Almighty always says the truth.
