Proof (Al-Bayyinah)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
The unbelievers among the People of the Book and the idolaters would never desist until the Clear Proof came to them. 1 An apostle from Allah rehearsing Writs cleansed. 2 Wherein are laws (or decrees) right and straight. 3 Those who were given the Book did not become divided except after clear evidence was given to them. 4 And they have been commanded no more than this: To worship Allah, offering Him sincere devotion, being true (in faith); to establish regular prayer; and to practise regular charity; and that is the Religion Right and Straight. 5 Lo! those who disbelieve, among the People of the Scripture and the idolaters, will abide in fire of hell. They are the worst of created beings. 6 But those who believe and do good deeds are the best of all creatures. 7 Their reward with their Lord is gardens of perpetuity beneath which rivers flow, abiding therein for ever; Allah is well pleased with them and they are well pleased with Him; that is for him who fears his Lord. 8
