The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the snorting chargers, 1 striking sparks of fire with their hooves, 2 And push home the charge in the morning, 3 And raise the dust in clouds the while, 4 Penetrating forthwith as one into the midst (of the foe); 5 Truly man is, to his Lord, ungrateful; 6 And is himself witness to it, 7 And lo! in the love of wealth he is violent. 8 ۞ Knows he not that when that which is in the tombs is over-thrown, 9 and all that is in the hearts is made public, 10 Verily their Lord on that Day will be of them Aware. 11
