Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the (steeds) that run, with panting (breath), 1 Striking sparks of fire 2 And scouring to the raid at dawn, 3 raising a trail of dust, 4 which engulfs the enemy. 5 Truly man is, to his Lord, ungrateful; 6 And most surely he is a witness of that. 7 for, verily, to the love of wealth is he most ardently devoted. 8 ۞ Knows he not that when the contents of the graves are brought out and poured forth (all mankind is resurrected). 9 And the secrets of the breasts are made known, 10 their Lord will examine his deeds? 11
True are the words of God the Almighty.
