The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the racers, panting, 1 And striking off fire by dashing their hoofs. 2 by the dawnraiders, 3 Raising clouds of dust, 4 and penetrate deep into a host. 5 Indeed man is very ungrateful towards his Lord. 6 To this he himself shall bear witness. 7 And most surely he is tenacious in the love of wealth. 8 ۞ Does he not know when the contents of the graves are laid bare 9 and that which is in the chest is brought out, 10 On that day their Lord surely knows all about them! 11
