Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
(I swear) by the snorting chargers (of the warriors), whose hoofs strike against the rocks 1 Then those that produce fire striking, 2 And the chargers at dawn, 3 Stirring up thereby [clouds of] dust, 4 And cleaving their way therein into the host, 5 Indeed, the human is ungrateful to his Lord. 6 and he himself is a witness to that, 7 He certainly has a strong love for wealth and riches. 8 ۞ Does he not know when the contents of the graves are laid bare 9 And the secrets of the breasts are made known, 10 On that day their Lord surely knows all about them! 11
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
