Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By (the horses) that charge snorting, 1 Then those striking sparks of fire, 2 And raiding at dawn 3 And therein raising dust. 4 and penetrate deep into a host. 5 Verily man is unto his Lord ungrateful. 6 He himself bears witness to that. 7 And indeed he is, in love of wealth, intense. 8 ۞ But does he not know that [on the Last Day,] when all that is in the graves is raised and brought out, 9 and all that is [hidden] in men's hearts is bared 10 Verily, that Day (i.e. the Day of Resurrection) their Lord will be Well-Acquainted with them (as to their deeds), (and will reward them for their deeds). 11
