The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
The event that terrifies the hearts! 1 What is the (Day) of Noise and Clamour? 2 And what will explain to thee what the (Day) of Noise and Clamour is? 3 [It will occur] on the Day when men will be like moths swarming in confusion, 4 And the mountains shall become as wool carded, 5 Then as for him whose balance (of good deeds) will be heavy, 6 shall find himself in a happy state of life; 7 but those whose good deeds will be lighter (on the scale). 8 Will have his home in a (bottomless) Pit. 9 Would that you knew what hawiya his? 10 A Fire vehemently hot! 11
