Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

YOU ARE OBSESSED by greed for more and more 1 Until you visit the graveyards. 2 Yes certainly, you will soon realise! 3 Again, no indeed, you shall soon know. 4 Nay, if you could but understand [it] with an understanding [born] of certainty, 5 You will surely see the Hellfire. 6 Again, ye shall see it with certainty of sight! 7 Then, on that day, you will surely be questioned regarding the favours. 8

True are the words of God the Almighty.
